Articles

ACJES serves the purpose of popularizing the academic studies that present concrete solutions to the problems encountered in all levels -from pre-school to higher education- and that contibute to the professional development of teachers and academicians.

Focus and Scope

Academy Journal of Educational Sciences [ACJES] is a journal in which articles from all fields of educational sciences are published. Within this frame, it publishes original scientific articles. Additionally, symposium submissions can be published on the condition that presentation place, meeting and date are stated and it has not been published anywhere else.

The Applications Not Accepted for Evaluation

ACJES does not include book reviews/examinations and domain-specific (e.g. nursing education, engineering education, architecture education) studies out of educational sciences in its publishing scope.

Publishing Language

ACJES' publishing language is English.

Publishing Frequency

ACJES is an international refereed journal and it is published as 2 issues for a year. Special or additional issues can be published in accordance with journal administration’s decisions.

Article Submission and Processing Fee

ACJES does not demand any article submission or processing (evaluation or publishing) fee and fee for accessing the articles.

Author Guidelines

  • Academy Journal of Educational Sciences [ACJES] accepts the articles that will be sent only on open journal system. 
  • The authors should upload their articles after writing or editing them abiding by journal’s article template. 
  • APA 7 style should be used for in-text citations and writing references. Please click on the link to get information about APA 7 style. https://apastyle.apa.org/products/publication-manual-7th-edition
  • The studies sent to the journal are expected to consist of 15-20 pages (or 7500-10000 words).
  • Whether the article uploaded to the system by the authors will be taken into evaluation is decided by investigation of editorial board.

ACJES Manuscript Template

Manuscript must be written in good British or American English (but not a mixture of these). The preferred format for your manuscript is Word.

Manuscript Structure

Manuscript submitted may consist of the following sections, respectively: title; abstract; keywords; main text introduction; method; results; discussion; acknowledgments; references; appendices.

Title: The title should be concise and informative. Avoid abbreviations and formulae where possible.

Abstract: The abstract should be between 150-250 words. It should reflect the purpose and findings of the research. It should not contain any undefined abbreviations or unspecified references.

Keywords: List 3 to 5 keywords in alphabetical order that help define the research. Keyword 1, Keyword 2, Keyword 3.

Main Text Introduction: In this section, the scientific background and rationale of the research should be explained and an adequate theoretical framework should be provided for the purposes of the research. Subtitles could be used in accordance with the structure of the research.

Method: The research method should be clearly stated in this section. Subtitles such as research model, sample/study group, data collection tools, data analysis etc. should be used in accordance with the structure of the research.

Results: The research findings should be clearly stated in this section. Subtitles could be used in accordance with the structure of the research. Tables and figures must be in accordance with APA 7. When using tables and figures, reference should be made in the text, then a table or figure should be given, and then the table or figure should be explained.

Discussion: In this section, the importance of research results should be discussed. The findings should not be repeated.

Acknowledgments: List here those individuals who provided help during the research, if any.

References: All text citations and reference listings should comply with APA 7th edition style (https://doi.org/10.1037/0000165-000). Furthermore, each source you cite in the text must appear in your reference list, and vice versa.

Ethical Responsibilities

The administration of Academy Journal of Educational Sciences [ACJES] determined some policies for the purpose of providing the published articles convenience with scientific and ethical rules in every respect. These policies include ethical responsibilities of editor, author and referees.

Ethical Responsibilities for the Author

The publishing and press rights of the texts sent to ACJES for publishing are accepted as transferred to the journal. These texts cannot be published in any other media organ, reproduced without permission of the administration and used without citation. Academy Journal of Educational Sciences owns the right of publishing the texts, having been published in the journal, in various platforms.

Any probable legal, financial and ethical responsibilities arising from the texts sent to ACJES belong to the writer(s) even if the mentioned writing has been published. The journal does not accept any legal, financial and ethical responsibilities arising from writer(s).

An article sent to ACJES should not have been sent to a journal for evaluation.

The resources used in the articles should be completely and correctly stated by citing or quoting.

 Person(s) should not be indicated as an author if they have no contribution to the article.

The related raw data should be presented to the journal if demanded.

The permission document of the article data should be presented to the journal if demanded.

Any proposal for adding author, changing author order and changing correspondent author should not be made.

The editor should be contacted immediately in case that any absence, error or mistake about the article in publishing process is noticed.

Editor’s Ethical Responsibilities

The editor;

Should do the pre-controls of articles sent to the journals. 

Should manage a fair and objective referee and publishing process of the article sent to the journal. 

Should respond to the need for information in terms of the reader’s, writer’s and referees’ demands.

Should follow updated policies with the aims of developing the journal and extending the quality of the journal. 

Should provide the communication between the referees and the authors, should avoid possible conflicts in case of need and in accordance with the privacy policies.

Referees’ Ethical Responsibilities

Should accept the evaluation in accordance with their area of specialization.

Should obey the impartiality and privacy policies in evaluation process.

Should complete the evaluation process within the claimed period.

Should express their comments and critics within the frame of academic wording and in an encouraging way during evaluation process.

Should reject the article and inform the editor in case that they notice the article/text was sent to a different journal at the same time or encounter conflicting interests in evaluation process.

Policies

Plagiarism Control

All the articles evaluated by the referees are controlled in terms of plagiarism for protecting their originality according to ACJES publishing policy. Within this scope, all the articles sent to Academy Journal of Social Sciences for evaluation are controlled by using plagiarism analysis software. The matches occurring are elaborately investigated and reported by editorial board. The errors observed in the report might be required to be corrected by the authors or the study might be returned to the authors.

Open Access Policy

ACJES adopted providing an open access policy. Open access policy results in beneficial outputs for humankind by enhancing global change. Open access foresees “free and limitless online use” of the journal content; in other words, the readers access publishing for free.
